Beautiful Distress was founded on the concept that there is a great deal of mental suffering, that not enough people are aware of this and that not enough is done to stop it.

The Foundation uses art in an attempt to open up the world of psychiatry and battle the stigma attached to it.

Why art? Beautiful Distress believes that art is pre-eminently capable of articulating and depicting the human condition

Op zoek naar een inspirerende locatie voor jouw volgende evenement?

Beautiful Distress biedt de industriële expositieruimte op de NDSM-werf ter verhuur aan. Met een oppervlakte van circa 12 x 12 meter is deze ruimte inzetbaar voor een wijd scala aan evenementen. Denk hierbij aan meetings, workshops, brainstorms, recepties, presentaties en borrels. Gelegen op de creatieve NDSM-werf, net naast het pontje, biedt de locatie een bruisende omgeving.

Onze expositieruimte is dynamisch en is elke tentoonstellingsperiode gevuld met andere kunstwerken van inspirerende makers. De expositieruimte heeft hoge plafonds en veel natuurlijk licht, waardoor een aangename en inspirerende sfeer ontstaat. De grootte ruimte biedt bovendien voldoende capaciteit voor groepen van verschillende groottes.

Naast de expositieruimte bieden we ook een kleine kantoorruimte te huur aan. Deze ruimte is ideaal voor flex-werkers die op zoek zijn naar een werkplek in een inspirerende en creatieve omgeving.
